Co-curricular Activities

The House System

The House activities are an integral part of the school curriculum. The entire school, including the staff members, are divided into four Houses viz Sanskriti, Jagriti, Kirti, and Pragati. As in nature, the colours of the rainbow, unique and beautiful blend into each other contributing towards making it a unified whole, the Houses represent Unity in Diversity.

Eco Club

Leave the world better than you found it, take no more than you needed, try not to harm life or the environment and make amends if you do. The Eco Club of the school strives towards making people sensitive towards the environment through a number of activities and workshops. Tree plantation is a major project undertaken by the students. In order to spread awareness and to sensitize people towards environmental issues such as burning of crackers & ban on use of plastic, students take out Marches with placards displaying messages in and around the campus.

CDLS (Community Development Leadership Summit)

CDLS instills the spirit of community development and building up of leadership skills in today's youth. It provides a platform to youngsters of different countries spanning across five continents to interact with one another and exchange ideas and thoughts which inculcate the values of friendship, peace, harmony and promote international understanding.

We have a long association with Modern School, Barakhamba Road. A luncheon meet is organized annually where students from different countries across the globe participate in this meet. There have been student delegates from Australia, Bangladesh, China, Germany, Indonesia, Lao, Mexico, Ghana, Japan, Italy, Malaysia, Philippines, South Africa, Thailand, UK, USA and Russia.

It is a wonderful fun-filled event which includes songs & dances, samples of Indian cuisine, elephant & camel rides, handicrafts and culture and a brain storming group discussion session where the youth of today debate & discuss some very relevant and interesting topics, the synthesis of which thereafter they share with all. Some of the topics for group discussion are:

  • Why would I like to go and live on Mars
  • My million dollar idea which I want to share with all
  • Top concerns and challenges before us... my solutions...
  • World peace. What I would do to make it a reality
  • My thankyous go to... and why...
  • Religion, boon or bane
  • Social media and networking sites... what has changed... and therefore...
  • Poverty, exploitation, the less fortunate around the world. What I plan to do...
  • How do I plan to give back to society
  • Life... What it means to me
  • When will I call myself successful
  • If I address the world, I would say...
